Friday, January 28th, 2022

Brown & Fortunato is pleased to announce that Allison L. Davis has earned board certification from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS). Allison is a shareholder and director in the firm and earned board certification in labor and employment law.

Allison L. Davis is a member of Brown & Fortunato’s Labor and Employment and Litigation teams where she represents clients in a wide range of litigation and pre-litigation matters, including employment, non-competition disputes, wage and hour issues, and business disputes. Allison is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Amarillo Area Bar Association, and the Amarillo Young Lawyers Association. Allison received her J.D. in 2008 summa cum laude from Texas Tech School of Law.

To achieve board certification attorneys must be licensed to practice law for at least five years, complete approved legal education courses in the specialty area, furnish references and pass a comprehensive, day-long, specialty area examination. According to the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, approximately 10% of Texas licensed attorneys are board certified. Brown & Fortunato has six attorneys who are board certified in health law and two in labor and employment law. TBLS is authorized by the Supreme Court of Texas and certifies attorneys in twenty-five specific areas of law. TBLS works to ensure that the citizens of Texas receive the highest quality legal services.
