Brown & Fortunato is pleased to announce that attorney Jacque S. Mayes has joined the State Bar of Texas

Jacque S. Mayes joined Brown & Fortunato as a member of the firm’s Healthcare Group. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Amarillo Area Bar Association, and the Amarillo Young Lawyers Association. “We are excited that Jacque is part of our healthcare team. She joins 15 other healthcare attorneys in our firm to provide creative solutions to our clients’ needs”, said Jeff Baird, chairman of the Healthcare Group at Brown & Fortunato.

Jacque graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from West Texas A&M University in 2016. Jacque worked as a paramedic while completing her undergraduate studies and was named to the Dean’s List and President’s List on several occasions. In 2021, Jacque graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law where she was a member of the Healthcare Law Association and the Organization of Women Law Students. While in law school, Jacque competed and was a finalist in the National Tax Moot Court competition and worked in the Low-Income Tax Clinic. Jacque also received the Income Tax Distinction Award and a Supreme Court Seminar Distinction Award.
