Bradley S. Byars recently authored two chapters in the book Introduction to Healthcare Management, Fifth Edition by Sharon B. Buchbinder, RN, PhD, Nancy H. Shanks, PhD, and Rachel Rogers, EdD, RN. In this newest edition of the guide (2025), Bradley’s contributions (Chapters 10 and 16), cover important issues in healthcare management, including regulation and compliance and the importance of managing costs and revenues effectively. His contributions cover issues related to the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and Fraud and Abuse claims. The financial management chapter covers issues related to governance, reimbursements from third-party payors, coding, and the tax status of healthcare organizations.
