Amanda Hobbs is a Senior Attorney at Brown & Fortunato and a member of the Health Care Group. She is based in Dallas and is a member of the Dallas Bar Association.
Prior to joining Brown & Fortunato, Amanda served as in-house counsel at a leading academic medical institution, managing the institution’s litigation and Texas Medical Board matters and focusing on privacy, compliance, and related telemedicine and telehealth issues during a period of rapid change. In addition, Amanda has more than a decade of experience in health care litigation, representing physicians and other health care providers in medical malpractice lawsuits.
At Brown & Fortunato, Amanda combines her experience in-house and in private practice in representing a wide array of health care entities on complex health care regulatory and compliance matters.
Amanda attended the University of Texas at Arlington where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, graduating magna cum laude. She then attended Baylor University School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2010. While at Baylor, Amanda served as an Associate Editor on the Baylor Law Review and as AAJ Mock Trial Team Evidence Coach. She also received awards for her excellence in evidence and civil procedure.
When not practicing law, Amanda enjoys dancing, playing board games, and engaging in community service.
