State Regulations on The Sale of Drugs and Devices
Friday, November 3rd, 2023
My name is Todd Moody, and I’m a health care regulatory attorney at Brown and Fortunato.
A significant portion of my practice involves helping clients with the state level regulation of sales of drugs and devices. This is because most states require some type of license, permit, or registration in order to sell drugs or devices, either to other businesses or directly to consumers.
There are a variety of state agencies that are involved in administering these licenses. Most often is the State Board of Pharmacy or the State Department of Health. And there are a variety of types of licenses involved in businesses that either sell or handle drugs or devices. These licenses vary from durable or how medical equipment licenses, pharmacy licenses, wholesale distributor licenses.
If you have any needs related to state licensure or if your business undergoes any type of significant change and you have these kinds of licenses, please call us at Brown Fortunato.
