Our Philosophy

Success in law school is certainly one barometer for measuring the potential for success as an attorney. Brown & Fortunato, seeks candidates who have demonstrated scholastic excellence. Success in extra curricular activities such as law review, moot court and mock trial is also an important measuring device.

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate excellent writing ability and are articulate and charming. Although academic excellence plays an important role in the hiring decision, a candidate must also have perspective, a sense of humor and demonstrable social skills.

We believe this concept enables us to respond quickly and effectively to our clients’ needs because we understand how businesses operate. Our philosophy provides results, as we have grown from three attorneys to over thirty attorneys to serve our national client base. While the firm continues to grow, we will maintain our flexibility in order to most efficiently meet the needs of our clients

Our Community

Our firm is located in Amarillo, Texas, a community with a population of 200,000 situated in the Texas Panhandle. Amarillo offers the convenience of simplified living with the amenities of a metropolitan lifestyle. We are just minutes from Palo Duro Canyon which is ideal for mountain biking, hiking, and camping, and a few hours from the mountains and ski lifts of New Mexico. Our cultural offerings include the Amarillo Symphony, Lone Star Ballet, Amarillo Opera and Amarillo Little Theater. Higher education institutions include West Texas A&M University and Amarillo College, and pre-college education needs are met by several award winning public school districts and private schools. Amarillo is the home of the Harrington Regional Medical Center, the Harrington Cancer Center and the Texas Tech School of Medicine, School of Allied Health and School of Pharmacy. Medical facilities provide diverse health care services from pediatric intensive care to hospice.
