Friday, March 24th, 2023

Brown & Fortunato is pleased to announce that two attorneys, Eric Matthews and Jon Sterling, have been named by Super Lawyers as a Texas Rising Star for 2023, an achievement awarded to only 2.5% of eligible attorneys.

Eric received this high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement as a member of Brown & Fortunato’s Corporate Group where his transactional practice includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and real estate. He advises owners and executives at every phase of the business cycle, from formation to termination, and has experience handling a variety of equity and asset transactions, restructuring corporate entities, and negotiating various agreements with suppliers, vendors, and other third parties.

Jon is also a member of B&F’s Corporate Group, and his success has led to his selection by Thomson Reuters as a Texas Rising Star for 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Jon serves clients in a variety of general business matters including mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance, business startups, contract drafting and negotiations, real estate transactions, and providing general business advice. Jon practices in B&F’s Dallas office and serves clients in numerous industries including healthcare, energy, logistics, technology, entertainment, and commercial real estate.

To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, nominees must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. Rising Star candidates are nominated by a peer or identified by the Super Lawyers’ research department and are then selected based on several indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, including honors, awards, bar or professional activity, settlements, and experience.
