Mettie Taylor joined Brown & Fortunato as a member of the Health Care Group. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Amarillo Bar Association, and the American Health Lawyers Association. She is also admitted to practice in the Northern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas.

Prior to joining Brown & Fortunato, Mettie clerked for the Honorable Nancy M. Koenig, the Honorable Robert L. Jones, and the Honorable Clinton E. Averitte. She also has worked in private practice as a litigation associate and for Texas Tech University System Equal Employment Opportunity office. She has experience in litigation, employment, and health law.

Mettie graduated magna cum laude from West Texas A&M University and taught elementary school before attending Texas Tech University School of Law. She was a Staff Member and Articles Editor for the Texas Tech Law Review and participated in the Civil Practice Clinic, mock trial, and moot court. Mettie received her J.D. in May 2010, summa cum laude, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

Mettie, and her husband, Sean, have three sons and a daughter. Mettie enjoys outdoor adventures, drinking a good cup of coffee while looking at the mountains, baking, and photography.
