Joe Shamp joined Brown & Fortunato as a member of the firm’s Corporate Group and is based out of the firm’s Dallas office. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas. Joe advises clients in complex contract review, mergers, joint ventures, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
Joe was born in Texas but grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana. He graduated from Westminster Christian Academy in 2014. In 2018, Joe graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Economics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Before beginning law school, Joe taught English in Ukraine and Kazakhstan for several months with an organization called Young Life.
In 2022, Joe graduated cum laude from Tulane University School of Law where he was a Veteran Member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Moot Court Team. Joe also graduated with a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University in 2022. During his tenure at Tulane, Joe was the CEO and cofounder of a specialty athletic slipper company, which was invited to participate in Spring New York Fashion Week 2020.
In his free time, Joe enjoys playing piano, weightlifting, learning about cryptocurrencies, and spending time with friends and family.
