Jacque S. Mayes is a member of the firm’s Health Care Group. She is also a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Amarillo Area Bar Association, and the Amarillo Young Lawyers Association.

Jacque’s practice includes assisting pharmacies, infusion companies, HME companies, manufacturers, and other healthcare providers throughout the United States with complex regulatory and compliance issues. She has successfully assisted clients in responding to investigative demands, navigating federal and state fraud investigations, payer audits, and other matters related to fraud, waste, and abuse. In addition, Jacque is well-versed in issues that arise throughout healthcare providers’ revenue cycle, including coding and billing issues and reimbursement disputes.

Jacque was born in Tennessee but grew up in Beaumont and Amarillo. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 2009. In 2016, Jacque graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from West Texas A&M University. Jacque worked as a paramedic while completing her undergraduate studies and was listed on the Dean’s List and President’s List on several occasions.

In 2021, Jacque graduated Cum Laude from Texas Tech University School of Law, where she was a member of the Health Care Law Association and the Organization of Women Law Students. While in law school, Jacque was a finalist in the National Tax Moot Court Competition and worked in the Low-Income Tax Clinic. Jacque received the Income Tax Distinction Award and a Supreme Court Seminar Distinction Award.

In her free time, Jacque enjoys weightlifting, bike riding, swimming, scuba diving, reading fiction novels, and spending time with her husband and family.
