Erica L. Beacom joined Brown & Fortunato as a member of the firm’s Health Care Group. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Amarillo Area Bar Association, and the Amarillo Young Lawyers Association. Erica is also serving on the board of directors for Amarillo Area CASA.

Erica is from Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in both History and Anthropology from St. Cloud State University, graduating summa cum laude. While in college, she was a member of the volleyball team and was awarded various NSIC Academic All-Conference awards as well as recognition on ESPN’s Academic All-District Team. In addition, Erica worked as volunteer over two summers, assisting western tribal communities in preservation of traditional Native American cultural heritage sites.

In 2016, Erica received her law degree from William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law in Williamsburg, Virginia. While in law school, Erica was the Kosovo intern for the Center for Comparative Legal Studies and Post-Conflict Peacebuilding, volunteered with the W&M’s Law School Bone Marrow Drive, and was the Managing Editor for W&M’s Environmental Law and Policy Review.

Erica was also published in W&M’s Environmental Law and Policy Review. Her article, titled Gas, Roads, and Glory: North Dakota and MHA Nation’s Struggle Over Flaring Regulation, focused on tribal land oil and gas development in the Bakken region of North Dakota.

Erica enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys playing recreational volleyball, traveling, reading, and supporting the Nebraska Huskers
