Mark E. Killingsworth joined Brown & Fortunato, P.C. in 2009. He practices in the firm’s health care, litigation, and business transactions practice groups. Mark is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Amarillo Area Bar Association and the Amarillo Young Lawyers Association.
Mark was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in economics in 2000 from Baylor University, where he was named to the Dean’s List on multiple occasions. After graduating from Baylor, Mark returned to the Dallas area as a credit analyst in the real estate lending group of a local bank. He later combined this analytical background with his information technology skills and joined KPMG as an associate in its Information Risk Management practice.
In 2006, Mark enrolled at Texas Tech University School of Law where he received several scholarships based on academic achievement and was named to the Dean’s List several times. While in law school, Mark participated in the Health Care and Bioethics Mediation Clinic, helping pro bono clients resolve differences and settle claims as a certified mediator. He also served as an editor of Volume I of the Estate Planning & Community Property Law Journal. Mark received his J.D. in May 2009, graduating magna cum laude.
Mark and his wife, Kendra, have four children: Matthew, Brooklyn, Nolan, and Jackson. Mark enjoys cooking, traveling, photography, sports, politics, and spending time with his wife and children.
