Elizabeth joined Brown & Fortunato, P.C. in 2009. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Amarillo Area Bar Association, and the Amarillo Young Lawyers Association. Her practice involves employment, litigation, and oil and gas.
Elizabeth was raised in Austin, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with Highest Honors from the Plan II Liberal Arts Honors Program in 2005. Elizabeth is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received Special Honors in the Plan II Program for her thesis.
She attended law school at Texas Tech University School of Law on a Regent’s Scholarship for academic achievement. Elizabeth served for two years as a Teaching Fellow for Legal Practice classes, was a research assistant for Professor Michael Hatfield, and was a Staff Member and Articles Editor for the Texas Tech Law Review. Her Comment, “Two Constitutional Wrongs Don’t Make Forfeiture Right: Does Section 41(e) of the Texas Probate Code Violate the Texas Constitution?,” was published on the Texas Tech Law Review’s Online Companion, The Addendum. Additionally, Elizabeth was selected as Executive Managing Editor for Volume I of the Estate Planning & Community Property Law Journal. She participated in the Advanced Dispute Resolution Clinic and is a certified mediator. Elizabeth graduated cum laude in May 2009.
Elizabeth enjoys art, practicing yoga and Pilates, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and her miniature pinscher, Montgomery.
