Clay Stribling returned to the High Plains in 2002 to join Brown & Fortunato P.C. Clay practiced health care law in Dallas for three years before joining the firm.

Clay has represented durable medical equipment companies, pharmacies, home health agencies, physician groups, sole practitioners, hospital systems, nursing facilities and hospital districts. He has assisted clients with a broad range of issues including licensure and certification, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, provider contracting, physician group practice formation, and federal program reimbursement. He has represented clients on municipal finance issues, including city, county and hospital bond issues. He served as temporary in-house counsel for one of the nation's largest hospital systems. Clay frequently counsels clients on operational matters including HIPAA privacy and security issues. He is a frequent author and lecturer throughout the country on issues concerning durable medical equipment suppliers.

Clay is a member of the Health Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and the American Health Lawyers Association.

Clay was born and raised in the Hereford area, growing up just outside of Dawn, Texas. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1985 and completed his undergraduate education at West Texas A&M University, where he received a degree in General Studies with an emphasis in management and natural sciences. He began studies for an MBA degree in Health Care Management at Texas Tech University in 1988.

Clay worked in the family business for several years before deciding to go to law school. He attended Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law where he distinguished himself in negotiations competition, becoming the national champion at the ABA negotiation competition in 1999. Clay received his J.D. with honors in May 1999.

He and his wife Katherine have a son, Spencer.
